What Happens in a Coaching Session?
Coaching is active, practical and goal-focused.
1. Identify what isn't working
Where are you getting stuck? What have you already tried?
2. Decide what you want to change
We'll turn a broad problem into clear, realistic goals.
3. Build a strategy
We'll choose practical steps you can try between sessions.
4. Try it in real life
The goal isn't to make a perfect plan during your appointment. It's to find something that works when you leave the office.
5. Review and adjust
At your next session, we'll look at what worked, what didn't and what needs to change.
No lectures. No shame.
Just problem-solving, practice and progress.

Who Provides Coaching?
Coaching may be provided by Megan Garcia or participating ACCS Associate clinicians depending on your goals, age, scheduling needs and provider availability.
Different coaches may focus on different areas.
Our team will help match you with the provider whose experience best fits what you want to work on.
Coaching Is Different From Psychotherapy
Coaching focuses on goals, skills, strategies and everyday functioning.
It is not designed to diagnose or treat mental health disorders and is not a substitute for psychotherapy when clinical treatment is needed.
If concerns come up during coaching that suggest counseling or another level of care would be more appropriate, we'll talk with you about your options.
One benefit of choosing coaching through ACCS is that you're already connected with a mental health practice if your needs change.
Insurance & Payment
Coaching is a private-pay service and is not billed to health insurance.
Clients who wish to use HSA or FSA funds should confirm eligibility directly with their plan.
